Ingredients:
For the dough:
1 cup dried rasins
3 cups flour
5 tbsp sugar
1 large egg
1 tbsp olive oil
3 tbsp dry yeast
3 tsp cinnamon
2 tsp ground cloves
1 tsp nutmeg
pinch of salt
1 1/2 cups water
For the glaze:
For the cross:
1/2 cup icing sugar
2 tsp milk
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 180’C.
Add all the ingredients for the dough together in a big bowl until combined.
On a floured surface, knee the dough into a long loaf form and cut it into 9 equal parts.
Form balls of each of them and place them into your baking dish.
Now add the ingredients for the glaze to a bowl and whisk.
Spread the glaze onto each bun with a brush and place them into the oven. Bake for 15 minutes.
For the cross, add the ingredients to a bowl and mix. Transfer the mixture to a piping bag.
Remove the buns from the oven after 15 minutes and let them cool for 5 - 10 minutes.
Once they have cooled, draw a cross on each of the buns with the mixture in the piping bag and let them dry.
